Sachi sent me some absolutely beautiful fibers, recently, including some Carbonized Bamboo. I spun a little bit of it during lunch today and draped the remainder of the wad I was working on, over the top of El Matchador.
As many of you know, Thea is a great fan of the fiber arts and has shown much interest in my tools, before.
Today, she showed me an alternative method for predrafting. What do you think?

Recently, I left my current WIP sitting on the couch for a few minutes, only to hear a sudden crunching noise (my bamboo needles being pierced by Bug's teeth). I actually had a mental discussion with myself when I put my project down about how since Bug was sleeping a room away, there wouldn't be a problem... yah, right. I'm a total genious!
Times like these, I'm so glad that Chappy was already 3 years old by the time I started spinning . . . At least she only "helped" with a little!
My sister-in-law brought me back some fleece "in the grease" from New Zealand. Guess who thought it smelled alluringly like sheep? Yep, the poodle.
Thea is a cutie pie, and it never fails to amuse me seeing pictures of her and Panda together. They coordinate so well!

My cat thinks that spinning fiber is her own personal toy. She loves the way it floats around and she loves how she can eat it and claw it and make it go fluffy.
She's also fond of needles, and dangling bits of working yarn. :)

The other day, Dot picked up a little stuffed toy from my desk and started walked reeeaalllly slowly away with it, as though her movement was so imperceptibly slow that I wouldn't even notice the cat statue on my desk was leaving.
Being the disciplined mother I am, I told her no and smooched her for being so cute and clever.

What a stinker. Z has felt pent up post-spay and destroyed her first object ever this week - the top of the wicker hamper. There were pieces everywhere, but as destruction goes, it didn't seem too bad. Likewise, I'm guessing that fiber is salvageable - especially since you have those fancy combs.
