I've been admiring the many lovely gradient dyed yarn kits independent dyers are offering. This cowl has been written with instructions to produce an ombre effect but it could be just as fun to work the colors in a random order for a striped effect.

Stitch pattern is offered in both charted and written out instructions. Pattern uses US crochet terminology, throughout.

This cowl is also available as a set with the matching shawl pattern as well part of an ebook that includes the Precipice Shawl, Aasha and Phosphene. You can purchase these sets in my Ravelry store or purchase each pattern individually. The discount is automatic when you purchase all the patterns in the sets.

Note: Gauge is approximated here and is not instrumental to the success of this cowl but may impact the finished size and yardage required for your piece. Yardage has been slightly over estimated to account for swatching and variation in gauge.
