Astoria Pattern

When I finished knitting Astoria, late last year, and decided I'd write a pattern, I thought it'd be a piece of cake. Well, after 4 months, innumerable hours and much conversing with my tech editor and beta reviewers, I think I've come up with a pattern I feel comfortable selling.

This 7 page pattern, filled with diagrams, charts, and tons of modification suggestions, comes with 10 sizes from 31"/79cm – 58"/147cm.

Additionally, you can download an Excel document, for free, with the motif, set up so that you can play around with different color combinations.

The pattern is available for download for $9.99. You can check out all the supplies, sizes and other specifications for this pattern here.

Thanks to everyone who expressed interest in the pattern. I hope that people will enjoy knitting this piece.

Absolutely stunning! And all those extras are why you are one of my favorite designers. Being able to chart your colors is so cool! :)

What fun... I grew up in Astoria and am a life long Oregonian. I might just have to buy this one:)

Yay, I love this sweater! I'm sure I'm not the only one who appreciates all the work you put into getting this pattern out. :)

Amy in StL:

Wow, my skillset isn't there yet, but I do love this sweater. It accentuates the positive without shouting, if you get my drift. I need to do some colorwork elsewhere before I tackle a sweater with it, though.

Janet:

Thanks so much for all of your hard work to make the pattern available! I am so excited to be able to make my own Astoria! I have been admiring this sweater since you first posted pictures!

Wow, what a beautiful sweater. I might have to learn how to do stranded colourwork! :) Nice range of sizes too; thanks for that!!

Anne Bean:

Astoria is beautiful! And what a lovely model you are on the front page! Thanks for keeping people of all sizes in mind as you put this pattern together.

It looks great! I love your work! Such inspiration. Keep up the awesome work. I was wondering if you are the same Marnie that made the Orange Shawl that was featured in this Spring's Spin-off issue. If so I love it and it was the inspiration that I needed to nudge me off the edge into spinning bliss. I promptly went out and bought a spindle and some pretty roving to practice on. :) I posted a pic on my blog, check it out! It's not lace weight but it's not bad for a first time!

I love how the cover page looks....congratulations on getting it out there!

When you said you were ready you weren't kidding! It's awesome, and I can attest to the fact that it is worth every penny. This is an extremely well thought out pattern. Congrats!

I'll remember that for some day when my skills are a tad farther along than they are. It's just beautiful!

(pssst...you may want to edit your last line)
