I wanted Tangerine Trees to have simple, graceful lines, that fit the body perfectly. Dart shaping at the waist ensures a smooth fit and the lines are extended up into the neck to give almost a princess seam effect.

This garment is worked from the bottom-up, seamlessly, in the round. The underarms are grafted closed, though you could use a three needle bind off if you prefer.

US 5 / 3.75 mm circular knitting needle, 24" / 60 cm or longer (at least a little shorter than your waist circumference)*
US 5 / 3.75 mm needles of your preferred type for small circumference knitting in the round.
Spare needles no larger than project needles
Waste yarn or stitch holders
Stitch markers
Tapestry needle
6 buttons 5/8" / 16 mm diameter

Gauge

20 sts x 27 rows over 4" / 10cm in Stockinette Stitch

This yarn is labeled a sport weight but is closer to a DK weight. The project gauge is a little looser to give the fabric more drape.
