Rowena
This shawl is worked from the center, out to the border. The pattern increases every 4th row through the cable-only pattern. On row 97, a lace pattern is introduced which the cable pattern tapers to nothing. The lace pattern grows at a more rapid pace than the rest of the shawl, resulting in a dramatic finished edge.
The main pattern repeats 5 times per row. The pattern could be worked as few as 4 times per row or as many as 8 times per row to create a full circle. The Set-up chart would need to be adjusted accordingly.
This pattern has both charted and written-out instructions.
