This shawl is worked from the center, out to the border, in one continuous piece.
The pattern is offered in charted form, only, with US and UK chart key definitions. You may work from the full chart on a single page or, if a larger chart is needed, it is also broken up into two larger halves that can be pasted together. Use the center arrows at the top and bottom to align the two chart halves.
This shawl is shown in a sport-weight yarn but the pattern is suitable for finer or thicker weight yarns as well. Choose a hook size that is suitable for that yarn weight.
Approximately 28" / 71 cm radius at farthest point after blocking.
Approximately 600 yd / 550 m of sportweight yarn. Shown in a wool/viscose blend.
US H8 / UK 6 / 5mm crochet hook*
16 sts x 9 rows over 4" / 10 cm in double crochet (US) / treble crochet (UK) after washing and laying flat
Note: Gauge is approximated here and is not instrumental to the success of this shawl but may impact the finished size and yardage required for your piece. Yardage has been slightly over estimated to account for swatching and variation in gauge.
