Drake the Dreaded is a fun little backpack that works up pretty quickly. The pattern includes lots of pictures and illustrations so that you will be able to reproduce all the features shown.

Drakes most charming feature is his pink tongue which not only looks cute, but is functional too. When you open him up,the tongue is used to cinch in the top of the bag.

Skill level required is a advanced beginner to intermediate. I have supplied easier and more advanced techniques for several features in this pattern, making it appropriate for a greater number of knitters.

• Purl
• Knitting in the round
• I-cord
• Provisional cast-on
• Hand sewn whip stitch

Supplies needed

• Cascade 220 yarn
• US #8 dpns and circular needles
• Tapestry needle
• Optional snap for closure
