This is a perfect spring or autumn weather hat. Worked in wool, it'll keep out a little chill without over heating you. The lace pattern is simple enough that anyone who can increase and decrease should have no problem with it, but it's interesting enough to keep the more advanced knitter entertained.
The pattern is available at Spindlicity, and designed to be worked with handspun yarn, but any worsted weight yarn should do.
For best results, don't forget to block the hat when you are done.
